The invention relates to the field of automobiles, and particularly discloses a four-split type vehicle carrier and an automatic parking system and method. The four-split type vehicle carrier comprises a linkage assembly and four carrying trolleys, each carrying trolley comprises a trolley body, and each trolley body is provided with a walking assembly and a clamping assembly; the clamping assembly comprises a clamping driving mechanism and two clamping arms, the linkage assembly comprises a locking mechanism, a linkage driving mechanism and two linkage rods, the two linkage rods are distributed in a cross mode at the midpoint, and the locking mechanism is used for locking the cross angle between the two linkage rods; and the end parts of the linkage rods are in one-to-one correspondence with the carrying trolleys and are rotationally and movably connected with the corresponding carrying trolleys respectively. The four-split type vehicle carrier can integrally enter the position below a chassis of an automobile, achieves carrying operation of the automobile, and has the advantages of being small in occupied space and reliable in structure.
