The invention relates to a novel underwater bottom sealing method for a deepwater double-wall steel hanging box cofferdam, which belongs to the technical field of cofferdam construction, and comprises the following steps of: 1, forming a blade foot groove at a position corresponding to a blade foot at a cofferdam setting position, cleaning the blade foot groove, fitting the outer side wall of the blade foot groove with the blade foot, and forming a gap between the inner side wall of the blade foot groove and the blade foot; meanwhile, the steel casing is buried in a riverbed; secondly, a plurality of steel casings are inserted in the corresponding positions of the surface of the riverbed, and a first concrete layer is poured; and thirdly, a blade foot is formed at the bottom of the double-wall steel cofferdam in a machining mode, the cofferdam is made to move to the position above the blade foot groove in a hoisting or floating mode, the blade foot of the cofferdam is inserted into the blade foot groove, and meanwhile a gap between the inner side wall of the blade foot groove and the blade foot forms a supplementary sealing layer through pouring. Fourthly, a second concrete layer is poured on the upper surface of the first concrete layer, and the second concrete layer is used as cofferdam bottom sealing concrete; the sealing structure has the advantage of being good in sealing performance.
