The invention discloses a crawler-type high-strain hammering robot and a method. The crawler-type high-strain hammering robot comprises a main control system, a lifting system, a drop hammer hammering system, an on-hammer force measuring system, a moving walking system, a wireless communication system, a navigation positioning system and a power supply system. The lifting system is connected with the main control system, receives a lifting instruction sent by the main control system and lifts a drop hammer to a specified height; the drop hammer hammering system is connected with the main control system and receives a drop hammer instruction sent by the main control system; the on-hammer force measuring system is connected with the main control system and feeds back hammering data to the main control system; the moving and walking system is connected with the main control system, receives a moving instruction sent by the main control system and moves the robot to a designated position; and the wireless communication system is connected with the main control system and communicates with external remote control equipment. According to the crawler-type high-strain hammering robot and method, intellectualization of integrity detection of a high-strain pile foundation is achieved, the labor intensity is effectively relieved, the working efficiency is improved, and meanwhile the detection accuracy is improved.
