The invention provides a garbage can dumping method, device and equipment of a sweeper and a medium, and the method comprises the steps that target acting force is determined based on the current state of a garbage can, the current state is used for indicating that the sweeper is currently in a lifting link or an overturning link, and the target acting force is the acting force needing to be output when the garbage can is driven to act in the current link; the resistance borne when the garbage can is driven to act is obtained through at least one sensor; and determining whether to stop driving the garbage can based on the target acting force and resistance. Based on the target acting force and resistance, whether the garbage can is blocked or not in the action process can be judged, then whether driving of the garbage can to act or not can be determined, and therefore intelligent obstacle avoidance can be achieved when the garbage can topples over.
