The invention discloses a middle-buried type rubber waterstop steel plate connecting structure which comprises a limiting plate, a first steel plate, a second steel plate, a third steel plate, an inserting plate and a plurality of waterstop bodies. Side plates are arranged on the two sides of the waterstop body, a plurality of limiting plates are connected to the upper portion of the waterstop body, a first steel plate, a second steel plate and a plurality of third steel plates are fixed in the waterstop body, the first steel plate is located at the left end of the waterstop body, and the second steel plate is located at the right end of the waterstop body. The third steel plates are located between the first steel plate and the second steel plate. A connecting groove is formed in the left side of the first steel plate, an inserting groove is formed in the right side of the second steel plate, the rear end of an inserting plate is connected into the connecting groove, and the front end of the inserting plate is inserted into the inserting groove. The invention further discloses a using method of the middle-buried rubber waterstop steel plate connecting structure. According to the method, tight attachment of the waterstop and the seam can be ensured, and liquid is prevented from permeating from the seam.
