The invention provides a river network water supplementing control method and system. A river channel monitoring unit monitors river channel parameters of a water supplementing communication river channel, a water supplementing output river channel and a water supplementing input river channel; the river gate control unit monitors state parameters of an upstream gate and a downstream gate respectively; the intelligent monitoring center stores and processes the river channel parameters and the state parameters; the water supplementing scheduling unit obtains the river channel parameters and the state parameters from the intelligent monitoring center, determines a water supplementing scheduling strategy based on the river channel parameters and the state parameters, and then generates a gate instruction based on the water supplementing scheduling strategy; and the intelligent monitoring center stores and processes the gate instruction and sends the gate instruction to the river gate control unit, so that the river gate control unit executes the gate instruction to control the respective working states of the upstream gate and the downstream gate. According to the invention, the water flow duration can be prolonged, and the accuracy of gate control is improved.
