The invention provides a construction method for blocking a tailing pond flood drainage system. The construction method comprises the steps that a grouting pipe and a drainage pipe are pulled to an outlet of a flood drainage pipeline from an inlet of the flood drainage pipeline; environment parameters are obtained, and the flood drainage pipeline is segmented; an outlet of the flood drainage pipeline is pre-blocked, and grouting operation is conducted on the flood drainage pipeline in a segmented mode; and slurry supplementing operation is conducted on the flood drainage pipeline of the current section after grouting operation is conducted every time. According to the method, after the drainage pipe is laid, grouting operation is carried out on the flood drainage pipeline in a segmented mode, and grout supplementing operation is carried out after each time of grouting is completed, so that the whole flood drainage pipeline forms a structural body stable in strength after grouting is completed.
