The invention relates to the technical field of colored asphalt pavements, in particular to colored micro-surfacing concrete and a preparation method thereof, and the colored micro-surfacing concrete is MS-3 type graded asphalt concrete. The colored micro-surfacing concrete is prepared by mixing gravel, sand grains, colored glass, cement, steel slag powder, red mud, modified emulsified asphalt and water according to the mass ratio of (10-20): (20-30): (70-80): (3-5): (1-3): (1-2): (3-5): (1-2); the modified emulsified asphalt is modified by a cationic surface active agent and a vulcanization cross-linking agent, the mass ratio of the cationic surface active agent is 0.2-0.5% of that of the emulsified asphalt, and the mass ratio of the vulcanization cross-linking agent is 0.2-0.3% of that of the emulsified asphalt. According to the invention, the micro-surfacing is prepared from the colored glass with coarse and fine particle sizes, so that not only can the night visualization effect, color durability and preparation process of the micro-surfacing pavement be ensured, but also the micro-surfacing pavement has excellent and stable anti-skid and wear-resistant properties.
