The invention discloses self-breathing foam light soil based on phosphogypsum and a preparation method thereof.The self-breathing foam light soil comprises a framework, a first air hole group and a second air hole group, first air holes are communicated with second air holes around the first air holes through communicating holes in the framework, and the second air holes are communicated with the second air holes around the second air holes through communicating holes in the framework; the diameter of the first air hole is larger than that of the second air hole; the method comprises the following steps: preparing a first bubble group and a second bubble group, stirring ardealite mucilage, adding cement and mineral powder to prepare mixed mucilage, uniformly mixing the mixed mucilage with the bubble groups, puncturing a bubble liquid film by needle-like ettringite generated by a hydration reaction to enable bubbles to be communicated, and further performing the hydration reaction on the mucilage and curing to form a framework. The self-breathing foam light soil disclosed by the invention has excellent water permeability and water-retaining property, utilizes a large amount of solid waste materials, and is low-carbon, environment-friendly and good in economical efficiency.
