The invention discloses a medical silicon nitride ceramic material and a preparation method thereof. The medical silicon nitride ceramic material is prepared from the following raw materials in percentage by weight: 80%-88% of silicon nitride powder, 6%-10% of a sintering aid, 1%-2% of carbon nanotubes, 2%-3% of nano zinc oxide, 1%-2% of nano titanium carbide and 2%-3% of nano zirconium oxide. According to the medical silicon nitride ceramic material and the preparation method thereof, the prepared medical silicon nitride ceramic material has excellent mechanical properties by limiting all the raw materials and the dosage, specifically, the density of the prepared ceramic material is improved and the microstructure is improved by adding the sintering aid, zinc oxide, carbon nanotubes, titanium carbide and zirconium oxide; meanwhile, due to the addition of zinc oxide and zirconium oxide, the antibacterial property and the compatibility of the material can be improved; in addition, through the specific sintering process, grain refinement can be better achieved, and the overall performance of the prepared ceramic material is improved.
