The invention relates to the field of cutting tools, and discloses a grain-oriented SiAlON ceramic cutting blade and a preparation method thereof.The blade comprises a SiAlON ceramic layer and at least one base body; crystal grains in the SiALON ceramic layer are arranged at the cutting edge of the blade along a preferable orientation; the substrate and the SiALON ceramic layer are compounded through an interface with an interlocking penetrating structure, and the interface structure comprises a composite layer formed by at least one heterogeneous material; the grain orientation of each cutting edge of the blade is consistent, and the relative angle of the grain orientation of each tool nose is kept consistent. The novel SiAlON ceramic blade has a novel overall structure and a microstructure, and the novel SiAlON ceramic blade with the macro-microstructure collaborative design can solve the problems that an existing ceramic blade is poor in durability, poor in groove abrasion resistance, low in overall strength and the like.
