The invention provides gallium nitride powder and a manufacturing method thereof. [Problem] To provide at least one of a gallium nitride powder with which it is possible to obtain a molded body having a higher molding density than conventional gallium nitride powder, a method for producing the same, and a method for producing a sintered body using the same. [Solution] The gallium nitride powder has an oxygen content of 0.5 at% or less, and has a resistivity of 1.0 * 107 [Omega] cm or less when 8 g of the powder is filled into a rectangular parallelepiped-shaped mold having a size of 10 mm * 40 mm and subjected to one-way press molding at a pressure of 100 MPa.
