The preparation raw materials of the metal organic framework forming material comprise a base material and MOFs slurry loaded on the base material, the MOFs slurry contains an MOFs material and a composite binder, the composite binder comprises an inorganic binder and an organic binder, and the inorganic binder is dispersed in the organic binder. According to the metal organic framework forming material, the structure of MOFs can be well reserved, the performance of the formed material is not attenuated, the original performance of the MOFs material can be reserved to the maximum extent, and efficient utilization of the MOFs material is achieved; meanwhile, the defects of a traditional powder MOFs material can be avoided, and the application range of the MOFs material is widened. The invention further provides a preparation method and application of the metal organic framework forming material.
