Raw materials of the boron-free glass wool comprise cullet, sodium carbonate, dolomite and aluminum oxide. The preparation method of the boron-free glass wool comprises the following steps: (1) melting a batch through a pure oxygen top combustion system and an electric boosting system to obtain molten glass; and (2) carrying out fibration, wool collection, curing and cutting on the molten glass to obtain the boron-free glass wool. In the preparation process of the boron-free glass wool, the melting efficiency and the melting quality of the glass can be improved, high-quality and uniform glass liquid is produced, then qualified glass wool is produced, and meanwhile, the energy consumption and the production cost are greatly reduced.
