The invention discloses a football field lawn and a construction method, the lawn is sequentially composed of a grass layer, a damping layer, a concrete layer, a gravel layer and a plain soil layer from top to bottom, and a drainage mechanism is arranged in the gravel layer; the drainage structure comprises a plurality of drainage pipelines, the drainage pipelines are arranged and inserted between the gravel layers in the horizontal direction, and a plurality of water seepage parts are arranged at the tops of the drainage pipelines and used for draining water into the drainage pipelines from multiple points; and filling particles are laid in the grass layer. Drainage design is carried out on the structure of the lawn, firstly, multiple sets of drainage pipelines are arranged between the gravel layers in the horizontal direction, the number of drainage pipelines is increased, drainage paths are increased, meanwhile, in order to facilitate drainage of the middle area of the lawn, multiple sets of water seepage parts are further arranged at the tops of all sets of drainage pipelines, and therefore drainage of the middle area of the lawn is facilitated. Therefore, in combination with water seepage among the layers, the middle and edge areas of the whole lawn have the rapid water drainage capacity.
