The invention relates to the technical field of bridge assembly, in particular to an assembly type steel-UHPC composite structure and a construction method.The assembly type steel-UHPC composite structure comprises a groove type steel box installed on a top plate and a bottom plate of a side box arch rib to be reinforced, a plurality of sets of supporting sleeves are arranged in the groove type steel box, and a plurality of sets of perforated rib plates are welded in the groove type steel box; chemical bolts are implanted into each set of supporting sleeves, the channel steel box is connected with a concrete arch bridge main arch side box arch rib through the chemical bolts, the channel steel box is matched with the perforated rib plates to form a plurality of sets of concrete pouring cavities, and first UHPC filling layers are poured into the pouring cavities. After being solidified, the first UHPC filling layer is matched with the channel steel box and the chemical bolts to form a reinforcing surface for improving the structural strength on the side edge of the side box arch rib to be reinforced, so that the structural strength is improved.
