The device has an actuating unit (3) with a capacitive sensor (4) and a piezoelectric or piezo-resistive sensor (5), where the sensors are connected with each other. The sensor (5) is designed as a tactile sensor for detecting a contact and/or actuation of the actuating unit, and the sensor (4) is designed as a proximity sensor. The sensors are formed as a single component and are attached to a common carrier (7). The carrier and the sensors form a plastic film unit that is retained in a hollow space (6) of the actuating unit.
