The arrangement has a locking mechanism, where a leaf of a window is supported at a frame. The locking mechanism is assigned to the leaf and is provided with a closure bolt (18) for engagement in a locking plate (20) that is assigned to the frame. A transponder is assigned to the closure bolt, and a sensor (26) cooperating with the transponder is assigned to the locking plate, where engagement of the bolt in the plate is detectable. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for operating a monitorable locking arrangement (2) a monitoring device with a locking arrangement (3) a method for operating a monitoring device.
