A shovel (100) includes a traveling lower body (1); a revolving upper body (3) installed on the traveling lower body, to be capable of revolving; an excavation attachment (AT) attached to the revolving upper body (3); a bucket (6) constituting the excavation attachment (AT); an attachment actuator configured to move the excavation attachment (AT); and a controller (30) configured to cause the attachment actuator to operate autonomously. The controller (30) calculates a control value of the attachment actuator for each of a control reference point (Pa) at the teeth end and a control reference point (Pb) on the back face, of the bucket (6), and based on the calculated control values, causes the attachment actuator to operate autonomously.
