OBJECT VISUALIZATION IN CONSTRUCTION HEAVY EQUIPMENT
A stereo camera (100) constructed to generate video data and distance data (326) is attached to a construction work machine (10). A location of a work tool (30) attached to the construction machine (10) is computed from sensor signals and the distance data (326) are analyzed for an indication of an object located at the work tool (30). A video overlay is rendered including an object indicator (420) that visually emphasizes an object image of the object at the spatial location of the work tool (30). A composite image (410) of the rendered video data and the video overlay is displayed on a monitor (210, 360).
