OBJECT VISUALIZATION IN CONSTRUCTION HEAVY EQUIPMENT
A stereo camera constructed to generate video data and distance data is attached to a construction work machine. A location of a work tool attached to the construction machine is computed from sensor signals and the distance data are analyzed for an indication of an object located at the work tool. A video overlay is rendered including an object indicator that visually emphasizes an object image of the object at the spatial location of the work tool. A composite image of the rendered video data and the video overlay is displayed on a monitor.
