A plug assembly
The invention relates to a plug assembly 16 for preventing overflow of a bath, sink, basin or the like. The assembly comprises a plug 18 for plugging a plug-hole of a residential basin or similar. The plug 18 comprises an interior edge 34 defining a through-hole. The assembly 16 further comprises a sealing member having a sealing position preventing water passing through the through-hole and a non-sealing position allowing water to pass through the through-hole. The plug assembly further comprises a float 24 coupled to the sealing member by a mechanical link so as to move the sealing member between respective sealing and non-sealing positions depending on the height of liquid in the container, The sealing member may be hingedly connected to the plug. A later embodiment relates to a method of assembling said plug assembly.
