Roof assembly and components thereof
The boss has at least four hip connectors 505,507,605,607 each attached to at least two of the other connectors, each hip has a fixed angle lug 509,511,609,611 onto which a hollow end of a removable rafter is attached. The connectors may have a triangular or square connecting face and be attached by internal fasteners which are not visible when the rafters are in place. Preferably a recess is formed between adjacent connectors where a further connector 705 attaches. Alternatively the boss has a body connector (fig.4,3) with two or more removable hip connectors (fig.4,5&7) attached to it, The boss may have a removable centre rafter connector (fig.4,23) located between and attached to each of the hip connectors, if the centre connector is not required a spacer (fig.1b,123) may be provided. The claimed hollow rafters may enclose the lugs of the boss when connected together to form a roof assembly.
