A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
The balcony is for installation on horizontal support beams 14 attached and extending from a building. The structure comprises a metal frame work defining a number of channels into which the beams are inserted the dimensions of the channel wider than the beam in the directions perpendicular to the elongation of the beams. The channels have spaced ceiling portions 12 and overlie each beam when the balcony is installed. The framework also includes a means for adjusting and fixing the framework after the balcony has been placed onto the beams. The adjustment may be through screws which adjust the frame work vertically. There may be lateral or sideways adjustment means in the channels.
