A flexible safety door leaf 102 which is formed of a flexible, high tensile strength material and so is resistant to puncture and tearing. The flexible material may be an aramid which may be woven. There may be a skin which covers the door leaf which may be formed from a polymer. The channel may be formed from a rigid tube attached to the flexible material and the top edge of the door leaf may form an acute angle with the channel. There may be an attachment member 104 and an attachment means, which rotationally couples the door leaf to the attachment member. The attachment means may restrict the rotational angle of the door leaf and it may also have an end cap 110 A and 110B and a hinge pin 106 which extends through channel 108 in the door leaf. A door system with a door leaf, and an attachment means which restricts the rotation of the door to less than 180 degrees, is also disclosed.
