MATERIAL FOR CIVIL ENGINEERING, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a material for civil engineering made of steel slag capable of reducing alkali elution and thus effectively regulating a pH increase in the surrounding environment by forming a stable film on the surface of the steel slag.SOLUTION: A chitosan solution is bonded to granular or massive steel slag to form a film of chitosan on the particle surface of the steel slag. A stable chitosan film capable of effectively regulating alkali elution is formed on the steel slag due to an effect of an alkali eluting from the steel slag. Defective parts of the film are filled (covered) with calcium carbonate or the like to form an organic-inorganic composite film having increased stability by carbonation treatment after chitosan solution treatment.
【課題】製鋼スラグを利用した土木用資材であって、製鋼スラグ表面に安定した皮膜を形成させることで、アルカリ溶出が少なく、周辺環境のpH上昇を効果的に抑えることができる土木用資材を得る。【解決手段】粉粒状又は塊状の製鋼スラグにキトサン溶液を付着させて、前記製鋼スラグの粒子表面に膜状のキトサンを形成する。製鋼スラグから溶出するアルカリの効果によって、製鋼スラグの表面にアルカリ溶出を効果的に抑制できる安定したキトサン皮膜が形成される。さらに、キトサン溶液による処理後に炭酸化処理を行うことにより、皮膜の欠陥部を炭酸カルシウム等で充填(被覆)でき、より安定な有機−無機複合皮膜が形成できる。【選択図】図3
