PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brace fitting device that enables simple and safe fitting of a brace.SOLUTION: In a fitting device for a brace 2, the brace 2 is inserted between adjacent hanging bolts 1,1, and the top end of the brace 2 is fitted on the top end of one of the hanging bolts 1 through a fitting metal 3A at the top end of the brace, while the lower end of the brace 2 is fitted at a prescribed position on a ceiling joist receiving member U close to the lower end of the other hanging bolt 1. The brace 2 comprises a square cylinder brace body 4 and an upper screw shank 5 and a lower screw shank 6, which are integrally connected on a same axis to the top and bottom ends of the brace body, respectively. The fitting metal 3A at the top end of the brace includes: a fitting metal body 14, which is of a tubular shape formed by top and bottom plates 7,8 and side plates 9,10, with a long hole 11 for inserting a bolt pierced through the top plate 7 and a bolt insertion hole 12 pierced through the bottom plate 8, and a long hole 13 for inserting the screw shaft pierced at a corner part between one of the side plates 10 and the bottom plate 8; and a nut 16 with a back plate 15 disposed behind the long hole 13 for inserting the screw shaft.
