PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceiling joist holder, easy in work for fixing a ceiling joist member and a predetermined member, simplifying construction of a ceiling structure, and capable of surely connecting the ceiling joist member and the predetermined member.SOLUTION: A ceiling joist holder 6 is provided for connecting by crossing a ceiling joist member 1 with a ceiling joist receiving member 5 suspended-held from an upper story floor slab 2, and the ceiling joist holder 6 comprises a pair of holder bodies 9 for holding a ceiling joist receiving member 5, a ceiling joist fitting part 24 respectively provided in a lower part of the pair of holder bodies 9 and lockable on a groove part 1A of the ceiling joist member 1, lower connection means 18 for connecting mutual lower parts of the pair of holder bodies 9, positioning means 15 for positioning mutual upper parts of the pair of holder bodies 9 in a butted state, and a machine screw 29 for connecting the mutual upper parts of the pair of holder bodies 9.
