ZINC SULFIDE SINTERED BODY AND METHOD OF PRODUCING ZINC SULFIDE SINTERED BODY
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive zinc sulfide sintered body which is good in transmissivity of light in the middle IR region without e.g. a treatment of micronizing a powder of zinc sulfide or an HIP treatment.SOLUTION: A zinc sulfide sintered body is produced by putting a powder of zinc sulfide in a molding tool, starting to heat the powder of zinc sulfide so as to raise the temperature of the powder of zinc sulfide, initiating application of a load to the powder of zinc sulfide when the temperature of the powder of zinc sulfide reaches a temperature in the vicinity of the sintering temperature and increasing the load applied to the powder of zinc sulfide in such a way as to apply the maximum load to the powder of zinc sulfide when the temperature of the powder of zinc sulfide reaches the sintering temperature.
【課題】硫化亜鉛の粉末を微細化する処理やHIP処理を行わずに、中赤外領域の光の透過率が良好な安価な硫化亜鉛焼結体を提供する。【解決手段】成形型に硫化亜鉛の粉末を配置し、硫化亜鉛の粉末に対する加熱を開始し、硫化亜鉛の粉末の温度を上昇させ、硫化亜鉛の粉末の温度が焼結温度の近傍の温度に達したときに、硫化亜鉛の粉末に対する荷重の印加を開始し、硫化亜鉛の粉末に印加する荷重を上昇させ、硫化亜鉛の粉末の温度が焼結温度に達したときに、硫化亜鉛の粉末に最大荷重を印加する。【選択図】図2
