ZINC SULFIDE SINTERED BODY AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zinc sulfide sintered body having excellent light transmittance in an infrared region at low cost.SOLUTION: A method for producing a zinc sulfide sintered body includes: putting a powder of zinc sulfide in a molding tool; starting to heat the powder of zinc sulfide so as to raise the temperature of the powder of zinc sulfide; initiating application of a load to the powder of zinc sulfide when the temperature of the powder of zinc sulfide reaches a temperature in the vicinity of the sintering temperature; and increasing the load applied to the powder of zinc sulfide in such a way as to apply the maximum load to the powder of zinc sulfide when the temperature of the powder of zinc sulfide reaches the sintering temperature, and in such a way as to maintain the application of the maximum load to the powder of zinc sulfide while maintaining the temperature of the powder of zinc sulfide at the level of the sintering temperature after the temperature of the powder of zinc sulfide reaches the sintering temperature, wherein the powder of zinc sulfide is heated at temperature lower than the sintering temperature before reaching the sintering temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】中赤外領域の光の透過率が非常に優れ、かつ安価であること。【解決手段】硫化亜鉛焼結体の製造方法は、成形型に硫化亜鉛の粉末を配置し、硫化亜鉛の粉末に対する加熱を開始し、硫化亜鉛の粉末の温度を上昇させ、硫化亜鉛の粉末の温度が焼結温度の近傍の温度に達したときに、硫化亜鉛の粉末に対する荷重の印加を開始し、硫化亜鉛の粉末に印加する荷重を上昇させ、硫化亜鉛の粉末の温度が焼結温度に達したときに、硫化亜鉛の粉末に最大荷重を印加し、硫化亜鉛の粉末の温度が焼結温度に達した後に、硫化亜鉛の粉末の温度を焼結温度に維持しながら、硫化亜鉛の粉末に対する最大荷重の印加を維持する硫化亜鉛焼結体の製造方法であって、硫化亜鉛の粉末が焼結温度に達する前に、焼結温度未満の温度で加熱する。【選択図】図2
