PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sash window capable of securing fireproof performance (heat shield/smoke shield/fireproof performance), by surely preventing falling-off of a reinforcement core material in a fire, even when incorporating a ventilation device into a horizontal rail such as an upper crosspiece.SOLUTION: A horizontal rail 11 of a sash is formed of a hollow structure by providing an indoor side sidewall part 18 and an outdoor side sidewall part 17, and comprises a rail body part 28 extended in the lateral direction and a ventilation mechanism part incorporated into the rail body part 28. The ventilation mechanism part comprises an indoor side ventilation port 24 penetratingly formed in the indoor side sidewall part 18 and an outdoor side ventilation port 25 penetratingly formed in the outdoor side sidewall part 17, and the rail body part 28 comprises a partition 27 for partitioning a ventilation passage 30 communicating with the indoor side ventilation port 24 and the outdoor side ventilation port 25 and a sash holding recessed part 22 for holding a sash. A reinforcement core material 35 is also arranged in the sash holding recessed part 22 by being fixed to the partition 27, and is constituted by installing a first thermal expansion fire-resistant material 37 heated and inflated in a fire, on one surface for forming the ventilation passage 30 of the partition 27.
【課題】上桟などの横框に換気装置を組み込んだ場合であっても、火災時に補強芯材の脱落を確実に防止し、防火性能(遮熱/遮煙/防火性能)を確保することを可能にしたサッシ窓を提供する。【解決手段】サッシの横框11を、室内側側壁部18と室外側側壁部17を備えて中空構造で形成し、横方向に延設される框体部28と、框体部28に組み込まれた換気機構部とを備えて構成する。換気機構部は、室内側側壁部18に貫通形成された室内側通気口24と、室外側側壁部17に貫通形成された室外側通気口25とを備え、框体部28は、室内側通気口24と室外側通気口25に連通する通気経路30と、障子を保持する障子保持凹部22とを区画する仕切り27を備える。且つ、仕切り27に固着して補強芯材35を障子保持凹部22に配設し、仕切り27の通気経路30を形成する一面に、火災時に加熱されて膨張する第一の熱膨張耐火材37を取り付けて構成する。【選択図】図4
