PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise and lower a footstool smoothly, regardless of the stepping-down position of a person passing through a doorway.SOLUTION: A door opening/closing device includes a door support mechanism that supports a door for the purpose of opening and closing a doorway, a footstool installed in a proximity of the doorway, a footstool support mechanism that supports the footstool for the purpose of raising from and lowering to a floor surface or a member fixed on a floor surface, and an opening operation mechanism that applies a stepping-down force exerted on the footstool to a door as a force to open the door. The footstool support mechanism includes a link mechanism 41 having first links 60,62 and second links 61,63, of which intermediate parts are rotatably connected to each other. Two of the four ends of the first links and the second links are respectively supported rotatably by the floor surface or a member fixed on the floor surface and the footstool or a member fixed on the footstool. The two remaining ends of the four ends are respectively supported slidably by the floor surface or a member fixed on the floor surface and the footstool or a member fixed on the footstool.
