FRICTION DAMPER
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a slide material from weather and droppings without lowering workability in a maintenance inspection.SOLUTION: A friction damper 1 according to the present invention is interposed between a brace material 2a serving as one region extending from a column-beam junction (not shown) and a brace 2b serving as the other region extending from another column-beam junction located diagonally to the former column-beam junction, and comprises: a slide plate 3 formed on the brace material 2a; a friction plate 4 coupled to the brace material 2b; a sheet material 15; and a pressing member 16 pressing the sheet material 15 while guiding the sheet material 15 and preventing the sheet material 15 from floating. The sheet material 15 can cover an exposed region of the slide material 5 when the friction plate 4 is located at a home position by attaching one edge portion of the sheet material 15 to an end portion of the friction plate 4 and attaching the other edge portion thereof to a portion near an end portion of the slide material 5, and the sheet material 15 fractures near nut openings 30 in response to a motion of the friction plate 4 along an extension direction thereof.
【課題】保守点検時の作業性を低下させることなく、摺動材を風雨や糞害から保護する。【解決手段】本発明に係る摩擦ダンパー1は、図示しない柱梁接合部から延びる一方の部位としてのブレース材2aと該柱梁接合部の対角に位置する別の柱梁接合部から延びる他方の部位としてのブレース材2bとの間に介装してあり、ブレース材2aに形成された摺動板3と、ブレース材2bに連結された摩擦板4と、シート材15と、該シート材を案内しつつこれを押さえて浮き上がりを防止する押さえ部材16とを備える。シート材15は、摩擦板4の端部に一方の縁部を、摺動板3のうち、摺動材5の端部近傍に他方の縁部をそれぞれ取り付けることで、摺動材5のうち、摩擦板4が定位置にあるときに露出する領域を覆うことができるようになっているとともに、その伸張方向に沿った摩擦板4の動きに対し、該シート材がナット開口30近傍で破断するように構成してある。【選択図】 図1
