PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door operation assisting device having sufficient closing force for surely closing a door, and capable of gently closing the door.SOLUTION: A door operation assisting device 5 includes a cam member 51 provided in a refrigerator body 2, a turning cam follower supporting part 521 attached to a door 3, a turning cam follower 53 which can be relatively turned to the door 3 by turning of the turning cam follower supporting part 521 together with the door 3, a torsion coil spring 54 which can be integrally turned with the turning cam follower 53 and on which elastic energy energizing the door 3 to a close direction is accumulated, a cam surface 511 formed on the cam member 51 and having an energy accumulation region in which the elastic energy is accumulated on the torsion coil spring 54, and a braking member (oil damper) 55 connected to the turning cam follower 53 and generating a load when the door 3 is turned to the close direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
