PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic wave absorber having high reflection attenuation characteristics in a high frequency band of 100 to 400 MHz, excellent in chipping resistance and being inexpensive, and a ferrite composition for the electromagnetic wave absorber.SOLUTION: There is provided a ferrite composition for electromagnetic wave absorber having a main component containing iron oxide of 39.0 to 47.0 mol% in terms of FeO, zinc oxide of 14.0 to 20.0 mol% in terms of ZnO and the balance manganese oxide, and containing, as an accessory component, at least silicon oxide of 50 to 200 wt.ppm in terms of SiO, calcium oxide of 200 to 2500 wt.ppm in terms of CaO and cobalt oxide of 1000 to 7000 wt.ppm in terms of CoO, based on 100 wt.% of the main component.SELECTED DRAWING: None
【課題】100〜400MHzの高周波数帯域において高い反射減衰特性を有し、耐チッピング性に優れ、低コストである電波吸収体および当該電波吸収体用のフェライト組成物を提供する。【解決手段】酸化鉄をFe2O3換算で39.0〜47.0モル%、酸化亜鉛をZnO換算で14.0〜20.0モル%を含有し、残部が酸化マンガンで構成される主成分を有し、前記主成分100重量%に対して、副成分として、少なくとも酸化珪素をSiO2換算で50〜200重量ppm、酸化カルシウムをCaO換算で200〜2500重量ppm、酸化コバルトをCoO換算で1000〜7000重量ppm含有する電波吸収体用のフェライト組成物。【選択図】なし
