LATCH ASSEMBLY FOR VEHICULAR DOOR LATCH DEVICE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of caulked portions of a latch assembly and thus shorten assembling time.SOLUTION: A latch assembly includes: a central latch body 15; a cover plate 16 on the surface side; a back plate 17 on the back side; a latch 19 supported by a latch shaft 20; and a ratchet 42 for holding the latch 19 at a full-latching position. The latch shaft 20 includes: an annular flange 21 located at one end on the surface side and abutting on the surface of the cover plate 16; an engagement processing portion 22 located immediately near the back surface side of the annular flange 21, having a diameter slightly larger than that of a cover side latch shaft hole 23 of the cover plate 16 and press-fitted to the cover side latch shaft hole 23; and a caulking projection 26 located at the other end on the back side and inserted into a back side latch shaft hole 30 of the back plate 17. 【課題】ラッチアッシーの加締加工箇所を減らして組立時間の短縮を図る。【解決手段】ラッチアッシーは、中央のラッチボディ15と、表側のカバープレート16と、裏側のバックプレート17と、ラッチ軸20により支持されるラッチ19と、ラッチ19をフルラッチ位置に保持するラチェット42とを有する。前記ラッチ軸20は、表側の一端に前記カバープレート16の表面に当接する環状フランジ21を、環状フランジ21の裏面側直近に前記カバープレート16のカバー側ラッチ軸孔23より僅かに大径で前記カバー側ラッチ軸孔23に対して圧入される係合加工部22を、裏側他端に前記バックプレート17のバック側ラッチ軸孔30に挿入される加締用突起26をそれぞれ備える。加締用突起26は加締加工により前記バックプレート17に固定される。【選択図】図7
