PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly durable castable refractory for molten metal container lid which has excellent heat retaining property, and which has excellent thermal shock resistance, falling shock resistance, mechanical strength, as well as excellent resistance against various different damage factors such as corrosion resistance, while having basic property required for lid material such as light in weight.SOLUTION: There is provided a castable refractory for molten metal container lid composed of fire resistance ingredient and steel fiber, in which bulk specific gravity after heating at 1000°C is 1.70 g/cmor less, thermal conductivity is 1.0 W/m*K or less, bending strength is 3.0 MPa or more and compression strength is 10.0 MPa or more.SELECTED DRAWING: None
【課題】保温性に優れ、かつ軽量であるなどの蓋材に求められている基本特性を有しながら、耐熱衝撃性、耐落下衝撃性、機械的強度、さらには耐食性等の様々の異なる損傷要因に対する抵抗性が優れる高耐用の溶融金属容器蓋用キャスタブル耐火物を提供する。【解決手段】耐火性原料とスチールファイバーとからなる溶融金属容器蓋用キャスタブル耐火物であって、1000℃加熱後のかさ比重が1.70 g/cm3以下、熱伝導率が1.0 W/m・K以下、曲げ強度が3.0 MPa以上、及び圧縮強度が10.0 MPa以上であることを特徴とする溶融金属容器蓋用キャスタブル耐火物。【選択図】なし
