PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing device for a sliding door, which is excellent in operability and which can reliably prevent a hook portion from protruding during a sliding door opening/closing operation.SOLUTION: A hook portion 19 of a sliding door lock for being shut by being locked to a door stop in such a manner as to interlock with the operation of making an operator push a handle 2, which is provided on the sliding door, forward and making the operator draw the handle backward automatically recedes to the inside with respect to a door end 7a of the sliding door.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
