SLIDING DOOR OPENING/CLOSING DEVICE
To provide an opening/closing device capable of avoiding interference of an arrangement position of a drive motor for moving a sliding door with an arrangement area of a battery device as a power source of a vehicle, preventing generation of abnormal noise due to adhesion of dust and dirt, driving the motor at low output, and improving the durability of a transmission belt.SOLUTION: The inventive opening/closing device includes: a transmission belt 3 stored in a rocker panel 60 and causing a sliding door to move; a door pocket 2 formed into an elongated configuration in the rocker panel 60 for storing the transmission belt 3 at least in the width of a door opening part 52; a driving pulley 6 engaged with the transmission belt 3 for moving the transmission belt 3; and a driving motor 3 for rotationally driving the driving pulley 6. An opening through which the transmission belt 3 is inserted is formed on a front side surface in the vehicle longitudinal direction of the door pocket 2, the driving pulley 6 and a drive motor 7 are arranged in front of the door pocket 2 in the vehicle longitudinal direction apart from the door pocket 2, and the transmission belt 3 inserted through the opening is suspended by the driving pulley 6.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
