THREE-DIMENSIONAL SEISMIC ISOLATOR
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a compact sized three-dimensional seismic isolator even while increasing anti-buckling characteristic of pneumatic spring.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a three-dimensional seismic isolator inserted between an upper structure and a lower structure so as to isolate the upper isolator in three-dimensional seismic manner. This isolator comprises layer rubbers to isolate the upper structure in a horizontal direction and a pair of pneumatic springs each of which is arranged in series at both sides of the layer rubbers in a vertical direction so as to isolate the upper structure in a vertical direction. Each of the pair of pneumatic springs has a bag for storing compressed gas as a main body of the pneumatic springs. When an outer peripheral part in a horizontal direction at the bag is compared with an inner part in a horizontal direction rather than the outer peripheral part, the outer peripheral part is protruded out at both sides in the vertical direction rather than the inner part and at the same time the inner part can be expanded up to a degree as one in which its size in the vertical direction may become the same size as that of the outer peripheral part. 【課題】空気ばねの耐座屈性を高めながらも、三次元免震装置のコンパクト化を図る。【解決手段】上部構造体と下部構造体との間に介挿されて、前記上部構造体を三次元免震する三次元免震装置である。前記上部構造体を水平方向に免震する積層ゴムと、前記積層ゴムの上下方向の両側にそれぞれ直列配置されて、前記上部構造体を上下方向に免震する一対の空気ばねと、を備える。前記一対の空気ばねは、それぞれ圧縮気体を収容する袋体を前記空気ばねの本体として有する。前記袋体における水平方向の外周部と、当該外周部よりも水平方向の内側の部分とを比べた場合に、前記外周部は、前記内側の部分よりも上下方向の両側に突出しているとともに、当該内側の部分は、上下方向の大きさが少なくとも前記外周部と同じになるまで膨張可能である。前記外周部が前記積層ゴムよりも水平方向の外方に位置している。【選択図】図5
