THREE-DIMENSIONAL SEISMIC ISOLATOR
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional seismic isolator that eliminates a risk of a vertical movement seismic isolation unit overturning to enable reduction in the number of seismic isolators.SOLUTION: A three-dimensional seismic isolator has a structure where a horizontal movement seismic isolation unit 10 and a vertical movement seismic isolation unit 12 are connected vertically. The vertical movement seismic isolation unit 12 is composed of two upper and lower cylindrical containers 28, 30 taking a vertical axial line as their common center. Into the inner side of one cylindrical container 30 is fitted relatively slidably in the vertical direction the other cylindrical container 28. At positions having different heights between cylindrical side walls 36, 38 of both containers are provided with two or more O-rings 40. In a tightly closed internal space 44 surrounded by the two cylindrical containers 28, 30 is sealed gas or air.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1-1
