PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly release a person and an object from lifting cords, by smoothly separating the other end of these lifting cords, when a load of a predetermined value or more acts on a cord joining tool in the direction for mutually separating the lifting cords of two pieces or two groups.SOLUTION: A shielding body 14 is suspended from a head rail 13 installed in a window frame, on a wall or in the ceiling, and the other end of a plurality of lifting cords 11 and 12 having one end connected to the shielding body 14 and wired by passing through the head rail 13, is suspended from one end of the head rail 13, and is constituted so that a cord joining part 20 collectively joins the other end of the plurality of lifting cords 11 and 12. This cord joining tool 20 is divisibly constituted so that the other end of the two lifting cords 11 and 12 mutually separates when the plurality of lifting cords 11 and 12 are divided into two pieces and a load in the direction for mutually separating these two lifting cords 11 and 12 acts on the two lifting cords 11 and 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
