PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brace type vibration control device capable of improving a vibration characteristic at the time of resonance.SOLUTION: A brace type vibration control device to be provided in a structural plane surrounded by columns and beams of a structure comprises: an attenuation element 2 and/or an inertial mass element 3; and an additional spring element 4 arranged in series with the attenuation element 2 and/or the inertial mass element 3. An attenuation coefficient and/or inertial mass and a spring constant are set so that a natural frequency of an additional vibration system determined from the inertial mass element 3 and the additional spring element 4 synchronizes with a natural frequency of the structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
