VEHICLE WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, VEHICLE CONTROL UNIT, AND HANDHELD EQUIPMENT
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To upgrade a crime prevention capability against relay attack without making processing of a vehicle control unit or handheld equipment complex.SOLUTION: A vehicle control unit includes plural LF transmitters 2 to 6 that transmit a response request signal to an area around a vehicle 30 and a vehicle compartment, and a UHF receiver that receives a transmission signal sent from handheld equipment 20. The handheld equipment 20 includes an LF receiver that receives the response request signal, and a UHF transmitter that transmits a response signal. The LF receiver of the handheld equipment 20 has a receiving area E1 in which the LF receiver can receive response request signals sent from two or more of the LF transmitters 2 to 6 when the handheld equipment 20 approaches the vehicle 30. If the LF receiver of the handheld equipment 20 receives the response request signals, which are sent from two or more of the LF transmitters 2 to 6, within a predetermined period of time, unlocking doors is permitted. When the response request signal sent from one of the LF transmitters 2 to 6 is received, unlocking the doors is prohibited.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
