PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slewing device whose structure can be inhibited from being large-scaled.SOLUTION: A slewing device comprises: a lifting mechanism comprising a lifting movable part that supports a rotation drive part; and a lifting drive part that supports the lifting movable part and lifts/lowers the lifting movable part. The lifting drive part comprises: a base; a first arm and a second arm that are supported on the base in a state in which the arms are rotatable while taking a rotation shaft as their fulcrum, and are connected to the lifting movable part in a state in which the arms are slidable; a driving source that is fixed on the base and rotates; and a power transmission device comprising a first transmission unit that connects with the driving source and the first arm, converts rotation of the driving source to linear motion to transmit the motion to the first arm, and rotates the first arm in linkage with the linear motion, and a second transmission unit that connects with the driving source and the second arm, converts the rotation of the driving source to linear motion to transmit the motion to the second arm, and rotates the second arm in linkage with the linear motion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
