PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high earthquake-proof performance without increasing a size of an abutment and increasing a cross-section of a brace in a case where a friction damper is disposed between a superstructure such as a bridge girder and the abutment, or between the brace and a rigid frame structure.SOLUTION: A clearance distance adjustment mechanism 20 of a friction damper 1 is provided with a pair of adjustment members 21a and 21b opposed to each other, the adjustment member 21a is mounted on a tip of a bracket 15 at a non-opposite side, and a friction material 6 is mounted at a non-opposite side of the adjustment member 21b. The adjustment members 21a and 21b are inclined by an inclination angle θ at their opposite faces 31a and 31b, and are constituted so that the opposite face 31b slides the opposite face 31a in response to relative displacement. The clearance distance adjustment mechanism 20 is constituted so that restoring force of a disc spring 12 is increased by increasing a clearance distance of the adjustment members 21a and 21b to the relative displacement in a normal direction, and is reversed with respect to the relative displacement in a negative direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】橋桁等の上部工と橋台との間に設置する場合や、ブレースとラーメン架構との間に設置する場合において、橋台を大型化したりブレースを大断面化せずとも、高い耐震性能を付与する。【解決手段】本発明に係る摩擦ダンパー1の離間距離調整機構20は、一対の調整部材21a,21bを対向配置してあり、調整部材21aは、その非対向側にてブラケット15の先端に取り付けてあるとともに、調整部材21bの非対向側には摩擦材6を取り付けてある。調整部材21a,21bは、それらの対向面31a,31bを傾斜角度θで傾斜させてあるとともに、相対変位に応答して対向面31bが対向面31aを滑動するように構成してある。離間距離調整機構20は、正方向の相対変位に対し、調整部材21a,21bの離間距離を大きくすることで皿バネ12の復元力が増加し、負方向の相対変位に対しては逆になるように構成してある。【選択図】 図1
