PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device for a memory element capable of preventing storage data of a semiconductor memory element from being leaked to an outsider.SOLUTION: A storage device includes: a case (11) with a lid (12) which can be locked; slots (S1, S1, ..., and S2, S2, ...) for memory elements provided in the case (11); a microcomputer (21) to be stored in the case (11); and a high voltage generating circuit (22). When the lid (12) in a locked state is opened without inputting a predetermined authentication code, the computer (21) activates the high voltage generating circuit (22) to electrically destroy the memory element on the slots (S1, S1, ..., and S2, S2, ...).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
