PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support system capable of allowing a driver to obtain detailed information relevant to a destination peripheral area.SOLUTION: A driving support system includes: plural vehicles; and a driving support apparatus that delivers to the vehicles driving support information for supporting driving of a vehicle. A vehicle transmits an image acquired by an on-vehicle camera to the operation support apparatus and receives driving support information from the driving support apparatus. The driving support apparatus recognizes a landmark included in the image received from the vehicle, and delivers to the vehicle driving support information corresponding to a position of the vehicle determined based on the predetermined landmark position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】従来のナビゲーション装置では、目的地の周辺における詳しい情報を運転者が得ることができなかった。【解決手段】運転支援システムは、複数の車両と、車両の運転を支援する運転支援情報を車両に配信する運転支援装置と、を備える。車両は、車載カメラから得られる画像を運転支援装置に送信し、運転支援装置から運転支援情報を受信する。運転支援装置は、車両から受信した画像に含まれるランドマークを認識し、ランドマークが設置される所定位置に基づいて判定された車両の位置に対応する運転支援情報を車両に配信する。【選択図】図１
