DRIVING SUPPORT DEVICE AND DRIVING SUPPORT METHOD
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To help a driver to drive a vehicle in a case where steering is locked while the vehicle is travelling.SOLUTION: This invention is a driving support device that performs a steering lock that fixes steering such that the steering is inoperable when an engine is stopped and that releases the steering lock when the engine is started. The driving support device comprises a travelling detection unit detecting a state where the vehicle is travelling, and a locking detection unit detecting the fact that the steering lock has been performed. When the steering lock is performed while the vehicle is travelling, the driving support device decreases a travelling speed of the vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
