PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate door operation device having high availability, and a gate door monitoring device, a gate door operation method, and a gate door monitoring method.SOLUTION: A gate door operation device has a programmable logic controller having a control section and a monitoring section. The control section transmits a command controlling opening/closing operation of a gate door via a communication satellite on the basis of emergency information with high urgency acquired via the communication satellite.
